Message Sources

Use this page to select which modules and message types reach the Broker journal. To open it, go to Main Menu - Broker - Message sources.

While message intake is disabled, the modules send nothing to the journal, and a warning is shown at the top of the page. Intake is enabled by a cluster setting described in Enabling Message Intake.

Module Identity Fields​

The expanded row of a module lists its identity fields with example values. To identify objects from the module's messages, add these fields to the identification rules.

Enabling and Disabling Modules​

To change which messages reach the journal:

  1. Open the module's action menu
  2. Select Disable to stop receiving all messages of the module, or Enable to receive them again
  3. If needed, expand the module row and turn off individual message types with the switches in the Message types table
  4. Click Save on the bar at the bottom of the page to apply the changes, or Discard to return to the previous state

Disabling a module or a message type stops new messages from arriving. Messages and objects already received are kept.

A user with write permission on a module can enable and disable it.
