AI Observability: Inventory

The AI Observability module automatically inventories the GPUs in the AI infrastructure. Data is generated by a scheduled job and stored in the gen_ai_gpu_asset asset index.

Data sources: gen_ai_gpu_metrics, gen_ai_gpu_asset

Purpose​

The inventory provides an up-to-date list of all GPUs in the AI environment and their characteristics.

Asset Card​

The GPU card contains the main attributes:

  • graphics card model
  • unique graphics card identifier
  • driver version
  • GPU host name
  • GPU index
  • PCI address

Scheduled Job​

The GPU asset is populated by a scheduled job:

JobPurpose
AI Observability: GPU Inventorypolls gen_ai_gpu_metrics* and creates and updates the GPU asset

The job is included in the content module, enabled by default, and runs every five minutes. The asset is populated when the job first runs after installation.
