Resource-Service Model v2.0
Key Changes
The updated Resource-Service Model (RSM) introduces fundamental changes to core entities used in model construction:
-
The model has been replaced by layers, which are containers for combining monitoring objects and managing access to them based on a role-based model
-
Indicators have been replaced by services, which represent either a component of a monitoring object or a logical group of components. Their state depends on the metrics they possess or other services they rely on, along with their individual metrics
New Features
The changes made in the new version made it possible to add the following features:
- New interface
- A new more informative representation of the model in the form of a graph
- A service can affect several other services at a higher level
- A layer can contain several independent models, forming a graph with several connectivity components
- Analysis of the status of services and metrics
